Leah graduated Cum Laude in May 2026 and was recognized for sustained academic excellence, maintaining both the Spartan and Chancellor’s Scholarships and earning the Martha A. Jesnak Scholarship for 2025–2026. Leah will begin UNCG’s Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology program in Fall 2026. She also served as a Teaching Assistant for the Student Leadership Program class in Spring 2026.
”My biggest takeaway as teaching assistant is recognizing that the current cohort is experiencing many of the same things our pilot cohort did, which has reminded me to lead with patience and grace. Supporting them through that process has pushed me to become more organized, responsive, and intentional — skills that will benefit me long‑term. My favorite part of this role has been watching a new group of students grow throughout the year and being someone they could come to when they needed support. I’ve truly enjoyed seeing their confidence and leadership develop.”
