Data Sharing and Management
It is important to have clear communication about how UNCG-owned data is shared and used. The following templates are designed to assist you in making sure you are considering and communicating effectively about data safety and security and protecting intellectual property. These agreements carry more weight than verbal or email agreements and are recommended best practice for data sharing. They have been vetted by Michael Marshall, JD, PhD, Senior Licensing Associate, and Dr. Sherine Obare, Vice Chancellor for Research and Engagement. There are 3 templates currently:
- One way external transfers of data from UNCG to an external entity
- Internal memorandum of agreement for transfer of data from UNCG personnel to other UNCG personnel
- Internal memorandum of agreement for transfer of data from UNCG personnel to UNCG graduate students
