COURSE REDESIGN

What Is Redesign?

Course redesign is a process that uses Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) and goals to shift from a traditional to a personalized and active approach to learning. This process typically:

  1. Improves learning outcomes and content mastery
  2. Increases engagement
  3. Enriches the academic experience
  4. Incorporates High Impact Educational Practices (HIPs), Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and Quality Matters (pdf, QM) standards.

We will work together to promote active learning into your course with strategies and educational technologies that incorporate learning styles, differentiated needs, accessibility, your teaching philosophy and more.

Redesign may begin with updating your Canvas homepage, a unit or the entire course. Take the first step by scheduling an appointment with an ITC today.

If you would like to schedule an appointment, contact an ITC at [email protected].
