Pacesetter: Mr. Robert “Bobby” Maxwell, MA, CCC-SLP/CDP
Robert (Bobby) Maxwell is an experienced speech-language pathologist and clinical director for “Powerback Rehabilitation,” which offers individualized outpatient programs for physical, occupational, and speech therapy. He is a 2005 graduate of UNCG’s Advanced Master’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
Mr. Maxwell is passionate about the care and well-being of older adults experiencing cognitive communication deficits and strives to create environments that maximize engagement and quality of life. He is a distinguished leader with numerous national presentations related to dementia and cognitive impairment, as well as healthy aging. He has multiple publications in professional journals, including Geriatric Rehabilitation, Thieme Medical Publishing, and the American Speech Language-Hearing Association Leader newsmagazine. Mr. Maxwell has spoken nationally on topics related to cognitive health and dementia.
