Public Service Award: Carmyn Glynn
Ms. Carmyn Glynn is the recipient of this year’s Public Service Award. This award may be given to an individual or group who, in their role as a member of the faculty, staff, administration, alumni, or friends, has made an extraordinary contribution to the mission and advancement of HHS. Ms. Glynn has served in numerous capacities for NC SHAPE/NCAAHPERD-SM, a professional organization representing educators and professionals in motion, as well as SPARK, an organization dedicated to improving the health of children by supplying curriculum, support and equipment for teachers.
Ms. Glynn is an instructor with Guilford County Schools, where she also serves as a student mentor. In addition, she serves as a cooperating teacher for UNCG and Greensboro College to help students find teaching placements.
Ms. Glynn is a passionate advocate for physical education and will help students, teachers, and anyone else interested in keeping children physically active.
