Pacesetter: Ms. Alexia Mitchell, MSW, LCSWA
Ms. Alexia Mitchell graduated from the Joint Master’s in Social Work program in 2009 and has been a dedicated servant leader ever since. She has worked in various human services and social work agencies, including in leadership roles, setting the standard for social work ethics and client advocacy.
Ms. Mitchell owns Reset and Heal, a mental health consulting firm, where she provides consulting services to other agencies on equitable mental health and prenatal care and offers inclusive services to clients. In 2022, Ms. Mitchell was recognized with the Winston Salem Under 40 Leadership Award. Most recently, she coordinated the first annual Black Mental Health Summit in Winston-Salem, and serves her community by sitting on several boards and hosting pro bono events.
