Dr. Jigna Dharod is the University’s first RTI University Scholar. Her research will involve using current data to better understand how food insecurity affects infant feeding practices. Based on the results, Dr. Dharod will prepare a proposal for external funding to examine the relationship between household food insecurity and appetite development among infants.

The RTI University Scholars Program selects academic researchers from North Carolina at the associate professor level or higher to spend scholarly level time at RTI International, partnering with experts.
