Ms. Johnson Sharon P. Johnson is a Master Level Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate. She graduated in 1999 from the UNCG/NCA&T Joint Masters in Social Work Program. She received her BA from Winston-Salem State University (Sociology/Social Welfare & Psychology).

Sharon is an Entrepreneur, Consultant, Writer, President, CEO and Chairwoman of both for-profit, Top Priority Care Services, LLC (TPCS) and non-profit, Top Priority Community Outreach Services, INC (TPCOS).Top Priority Care Services, LLC. was established in October 2003. The Behavioral Health agency provides services to children, adolescents and adults. All services begin with a Diagnostic Assessment to determine the mental health primary diagnoses for treatment recommendation and strategies. Services are provided in the office, home, schools, and shelters and upon discharge from prison/jail and hospitals/psychiatric unit. Referrals are often made from Local Managed Organizations near each surrounding county.

Top Priority Care Services provides services in Winston-Salem (corporate office), Greensboro, and Durham and within 52 surrounding counties in NC. Additional programs offered also are provided in facilities, homes and in the community for children and adults diagnosed with a developmental disability.

In February 2013, expansion of services now includes: substance abuse counseling, GED classes, two transitional homes for homeless men and women, two group homes for adults with developmental disabilities and The Center for Lifelong Learning & Enrichment, a day support program for adults with developmental disabilities in Winston-SalMs. Johnson has been an invaluable field instructor for our students for many years.

Sharon is a lifelong resident of Winston-Salem and is married to James Johnson. She is the mother and grandmother of one son and two grandchildren. She is the eldest of three brothers and one sister. Sharon was born to Willie Patrick, Sr. and raised by her mother and stepfather, James and Shirley Salter.
