Vira R. Kivett Outstanding Publication Award in Human Development and Family Studies

This award was established to honor Chancellor Patricia A. Sullivan at her retirement and to establish a legacy to honor Dr. Vira A. Kivett’s cutting edge research. Her research, service, and contributions to policy on behalf of older adults led to receipt of the O. Max Gardner Award, the highest honor bestowed on a faculty member in the UNC University system.

This award supports graduate students who have published their research in a nationally-recognized journal in Human Development and Family Studies
