The Nancy Burton Hockett Scholarship - School of Health and Human Sciences

Nancy Burton Hockett was born in Greensboro, NC. Throughout her life, she pursued her love of sports and the outdoors by participating in many sports–especially tennis–and summer camp counseling.

This award suppports undergraduate students with a demonstrated involvement in extracurricular and/or service activities (emphasis on teaching physical education, coaching sports, or work with the YWCA/YMCA, camping, parks and recreation) in one of the following departments: Undergraduate, Community and Therapeutic Recreation, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Kinesiology, Public Health Education.
