Nettie Coad was a Greensboro native and great friend to UNCG. The Public Service Award was presented to her posthumously. Nettie had a tireless commitment to making Greensboro a better place for all. She worked through the Partnership Project and the Greensboro Health Disparities Collaborative, and partnered with area university faculty, staff and students, local clergy, and other members of the Greensboro community to achieve social justice.
Nettie’s family and members of the Greensboro Health Disparities accepted the award on her behalf.
