Seeks to advance the campus and the community’s capacity to prevent and respond to gender-based violence through research, educational activities, and community partnerships.


The key priorities of the CWHW’s Program to End Gender-based Violence are the following:

  • Strategic area #1: To foster interdisciplinary collaborations to promote innovative approaches to understanding and responding to gender-based violence.
  • Strategic area #2: To be a leader in developing and evaluating strategies to reduce, and improve response to, gender-based violence on college campuses.
  • Strategic area #3:To increase understanding of the longer-term and compound needs of women and girls who have experienced victimization and to develop resources and programs to address those needs.
