School of Health and Human Sciences

There will no longer be a secondary application process in order to enter our Public Health Education major.  Once you are accepted into UNCG, to join the Public Health Education Major you must declare this as your major and concentration by:

  • Filling out this form with the University Registrar’s Office, and following your course catalog for graduation requirements.
  • For students declaring the Community Health Education Concentration, we strongly recommended you register for this required core course: HEA 339 Introduction to Public Health Education (WI) in the second semester of your sophomore year (Jan. 19 – April 28, 2021).  If this applies to you, then please consider enrolling today.  It will be offered in the Spring of 2021 for the first time. Add/Drop week is Jan. 19-25, 2021. For those not able to enroll in HEA 339 in Spring 2021, you will be required to register for HEA 339 in the Fall of your Junior Year.
    • Note: All HEA courses in Spring 2021 will not meet physically in-person in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Each HEA Course will be offered in the asynchronous/synchronous online format depending on the redesign of the course for the Spring semester.
