2020 Alumni Conference Postponed to fall 2021
Email from Professor Dennison sent on 5/21/2020 regarding the Annual JMSW Alumni Conference (not on the JMSW alumni mailing list and want to be? Please fill out this form: https://forms.gle/AxPqsZhPKjD74ZLk7)
Dear JMSW Alumni,
I hope this email finds you and your loved ones are well and coping effectively with this very challenging pandemic. After much discussion, we have decided to not schedule the JMSW Annual Alumni Conference for this fall 2020. It does not appear that the university restrictions for this next semester will allow for any large gatherings on campus. In addition, the social work departmental administrators want to only plan events/programs where we can ensure the safety of those in attendance. The good news is the two speakers, Dr. Hillary Rubesin & Laurie Selz-Campbell, who were going to present “Use of Expressive Arts by Social Workers” this fall 2020 have agreed to instead to present fall 2021.
I will miss seeing your smiling faces at what has become a wonderful annual gathering but know that in view of this current situation this is the safer plan for our JMSW Annual Alumni Conference.
I hope you all stay well and safe,
