Commencement – Spring 2020

Dear HHS students,

We know this is a stressful and uncertain time, as each of us are experiencing unprecedented and significant changes to our daily lives.

We stand with the University administration’s difficult decision to cancel all UNCG commencement ceremonies. We believe making this decision now will allow for families to avoid cancellation fees related to travel, and it will give us some time to prepare an alternative and rewarding experience for students.

We understand the HHS school-wide commencement is a significant milestone for students, and we know you are incredibly disappointed about the cancellation of the spring 2020 HHS school-wide ceremony.

The University is considering several alternatives, and we hope to share more information with you as it becomes available. We value your input, and if you have ideas for alternative ways to celebrate HHS commencement remotely, we want to hear from you! Email Larissa Witmer

Our first priority is the health, safety, and wellbeing of you, our students. We are in close coordination with the UNCG Chancellor’s Office, Provost’s Office, Student Health, and UNCG Emergency Management, and we are following the guidelines of the NC Department of Health and Human Services and the World Health Organization in light of COVID-19.

Please know that we appreciate your patience and understanding during this challenging time. We will be in touch as soon as we have more information to share.
