Hey everyone! My name is Aubrey Hite, and I am originally from the Columbia, South Carolina area. I graduated in 2018 from Lenoir-Rhyne University with a B.S. in Biology where I spent time researching microbial antibiotic resistance. While in undergrad, I discovered the field of genetic counseling and was fortunate enough to spend summer as an intern at the University of South Carolina where I fell in love with genetic counseling. Prior to graduate school, I taught high school biology for three years, interviewed genetic counselors in various roles, and continued to learn as much as I could about the field. In my free time, you can find me running, hiking, cooking, hanging out with my wife and dog, or watching the Tar Heels play!
