There are several factors this study aims to understand. First, the epidemiology of concussions and orthopedic injuries has been unexplored in women’s tackle football. Secondly, the psychosocial and contextual issues influencing these athletes are not well understood.

This series of surveys aims to gather information about biological factors (e.g., past injuries and concussions), psychological factors (e.g. coping skills, aggression), and social influences (e.g., role balance, risk-taking behavior) surrounding female tackle football players.

This pilot project will focus on athletes on teams participating in the Independent Women’s Football League (IWFL). You must be at least 18 years old to participate.
