Thank you for visiting the Center for Women’s Health and Wellness (CWHW) in UNCG’s School of Health and Human Sciences.

The Center was established in September of 2002 to facilitate ongoing research related to women’s health and wellness within the School of Health and Human Sciences, and to promote collaborative research across the University, with other institutions, and with community partners.

Although designated as a research center, interdisciplinary education, mentorship, and community outreach efforts that promote the health and wellness of girls and women in Greensboro and the global community are central to the CWHW’s mission, and inextricably link to the UNCG and the School of HHS Strategic Plans.

UNCG Diversity Equity Statement

It is important to listen, learn and engage in conversations around issues of systemic racism. But what’s needed most is concrete action. We must move beyond our words and take proactive stems to examine our individual biases, rethink existing systems and structures, and implement plan for a more equitable future.

The Center for Women’s Health and Wellness will take intentional action towards these goals through our Center activities.
