Brief Bio

Joya Robertson, M. A., CCC-SLP is an Assistant Professor and Clinical Educator in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders and supervises graduate students at Phoenix Academy Public Charter School. Joya received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in Child and Family Development. She received her graduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in Speech-Language Pathology. Joya also teaches undergraduate coursework in the CSD program. She has a wide range of clinical experiences including early intervention and practice management. Her career interests include clinical supervision, articulation/phonology, social pragmatic language disorders and facilitating language development through functional activities and routine based interventions.
