African American Kinship Care

The African American Families and Kinship Care Lab conducts research and provides services that contributes to the overall well-being of African American & Black Families. 

The lab has a special focus on African American kinship care families.  Kinship care refers to caregiving of children by grandparents or other relatives and those who have strong bonds with the children when biological parents are unable or unwilling to provide care.
