 About the Program

The UNCG Department of Social Work has a 20+ year exchange with The Glasgow School of Social Work. Every other year, a UNCG faculty member and a group of UNCG social work students go to Glasgow to study with
social work students and faculty.

During Summer 2014 graduate and undergraduate students from UNCG studied in Glasgow for a month

In alternate years, Scottish professors and students come to UNCG for four weeks of study.

During Summer 2015 Scottish students will be at UNCG studying with BSW and MSW students in

  • SWK522, Comparative Study of Cross-cultural Social Work Practice

Course dates are TBA and will be posted when decided.

The course is open to :

  • Rising social work seniors,
  • JMSW students,
  • Others with permission of instructor.(contact one of the instructors listed)
